2nd Shift Supervisor The primary duty of the Shift Supervisor is directing and overseeing the day-to-day activities of a team of machinists. This aspect to the role involved examining production schedules and deadlines and determining the best schedule employees and activity to complete jobs safely and efficiently. The CNC Supervisor may also provide direct, hands-on support in programming and overseeing CNC machine operation. Our Second Shift Supervisor hours are from 3:30pm to 12:30am Monday - Friday. Overtime and Weekend work may be requested or required at times, as job duties demand. Job Type: Full-time **Pay is based on experience, starting at $23/hr and up** Job Description: Understand organization flow chart within the company. Provide leadership for their assigned area while achieving maximum productivity. Maximize production of a quality product within company specifications, goals, and objectives. Manage personnel and processes to insure compliance with all safety and environmental rules and regulations, as well as compliance with internal ATI practices. Support all 6S and lean initiatives and ensure they followed through. Report any issues to the Plant Manager and/or Assistant Plant Manager. Ensure employees have proper training, tools, and materials that they need to carry out their duties. Communicate with Plant Manager, Assistant Plant Manager and other Plant Supervisors to coordinate production schedules so that all products are produced in a timely manner. Monitor employee disciplinary notes, vacation requests, and self-reviews via an online server. Conduct employee performance reviews within his/her department. Manage multiple projects simultaneously. Assume responsibility for quality and productivity in his/her department. Required Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of resource allocation, leadership techniques, and production methods Have an understanding of how to work with a team. Must be able to motivate employees and encourage a positive working environment while amplifying productivity Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology; must be familiar w/ Windows operating system, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to understand and complete advanced geometry and algebra Ability to deal with problems and make decisions involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods Knowledge of departmental risk assessment and risk management Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED equivalent Education / Experience Required: High School diploma or equivalent is required 2 years of Experience in Manufacturing is required Basics of Material Identification, Measurement & Blueprint Reading preferred 2 Years of Managerial Experience preferred Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
