Venture Lead – Industrial Data Platform (Digital Thread)

We are seeking a visionary and execution-driven Venture Lead to lead the development and scaling of a next-generation industrial data platform. This venture aims to unify engineering, production, and operational data into a seamless digital thread across factories, enabling real-time visibility, advanced analytics, and cross-site optimization. This is a unique opportunity to define critical infrastructure for the future of manufacturing.Responsibilities and DutiesBuild and scale a category-defining industrial data platformDefine product strategy across data ingestion, modeling, and analytics layersDrive adoption across large industrial customers with complex legacy environmentsEstablish ecosystem integrations (MES, ERP, IoT platforms, engineering tools)Build a high-performing team across product, engineering, and GTMAttend occasional business trips to GermanyEssential Qualifications and SkillsProven experience as a Venture Lead, founder, or senior leader in industrial SaaS, data platforms, or IoTStrong understanding of industrial data architectures, including TSDB, data fabric, and digital thread conceptsDemonstrated success selling into manufacturing or asset-heavy industriesExperience managing complex enterprise integrations and large-scale deploymentsStrategic thinker with strong execution capabilitiesEntrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and scale from early stagesFluent English necessary, German is a plus but not requiredPreferred Qualifications and SkillsExperience working with global industrial enterprises or multi-site manufacturing environmentsBackground in scaling venture-backed technology companiesDeep network within the industrial, manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 ecosystemFamiliarity with advanced analytics, AI/ML applications in industrial contextsCompany OverviewCreative Dock is a venture builder that partners with corporations to design, build, and scale new businesses.
