As a Parent Partner you will walk alongside families, offering one-on-one and group support grounded in their own lived experience. You will partner with parents/caregivers to navigate systems, ensure they feel heard, and stay engaged in the Wraparound process with empathy, guidance, and encouragement. Our programs deeply engage in conversations and training on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to bring equity and justice to the youth and families we serve.RESPONSIBILITIESProvide and communicate guidance, expertise, and support for parents and caregivers one-on-one and in group settingsHelp youth, caregivers, and family members understand the mandates and perspectives of other team members while navigating through county systemsUse knowledge of community resources, school systems, or other mental health services to help families identify and connect to a family safety network and/or natural support team in the communityEnsure parent/caregivers perspectives shape planning decisions, safety and crisis plan, and service strategiesActively contribute to team planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plansAttend and participate in mental health awareness activities in the communityParticipate in weekly supervision/mentorship with the supervisor or designeeMaintain accurate documentation including mental health notes, timesheets, expense reports, and mileageParticipate in on-call rotationUtilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniquesQUALIFICATIONSREQUIRED:Personal lived experience as the parent or legal guardian of a youth who received services from child-serving systems (child welfare/foster care/adoption, juvenile justice/probation, mental/behavioral health, special education, etc.)Bilingual Spanish skill set, pass language proficiency assessmentHigh school diploma/GEDFlexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekends as neededBe part of a rotating emergency on-call system, scheduled with supervisor ahead of timeAt least 18 years of ageValid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies' insurance policyTB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirementsPREFERRED:Strong organization and communication skillsAbility to maintain healthy boundaries while building trustAbility to work as a part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environmentSCHEDULE* Full-time;* Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm* Hybrid; provide in-person services daily & ability to complete administrative tasks remotely* On-call 3 - 4 times per month; scheduled ahead of time with supervisorBENEFITSStarting at $26.40 - $28.90 per hour, commensurate with experienceSalary increases each yearMileage reimbursementStipends provided to staff members participating in the emergency on-call shifts5 weeks of Paid Time off and 11 Paid HolidaysComprehensive benefits package:Medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, acupuncture, fertility coverageLong-term disability, family leave, and life insurance50% paid premiums for dependents403b Retirement PlanEmployer-paid Employee Assistance PlanSeneca is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness certified employerPromotional opportunities across the agency in California and Washington
