Computer Repair Technician - Hiring Immediately

Quality check product that is being setup and disassembledPerform repairs on various types of equipment including computers, printers, POS (Point of Sale) equipment, and hand-held mobile scannersAbility to read and comprehend technical documentation (Standard Operating Procedures, Technical Drawings, and Schematics)Evaluate and monitor repair processes and techniques and make recommendations for process and equipment changes that lead to gains in productivity and the quality of repairsBasic soldering a plusIndependently diagnose, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, facilitate solutions, and resolve complicated repairsPerform test programs and run benchmarks for battery and power measurementsRead and follow directions in technical documentation, provided by both internal and external customersComplete and maintain checklists for staging and integration tasksCommunicate and follow-through with internal customers to resolve any issues Requirements High School Diploma or GED; Associate's Degree preferred1-3 years' experience in related fieldExperience with POS (Point-of-Sale) equipment is preferredExperience with computer software, printers, and/or scanners installation and configurationAbility to repair laser barcode equipment such as Symbol, Intermec, and HoneywellComponent level soldering skillsExcellent organization, attention to detail and time management skillsAbility to lift on a repetitive basis up to a maximum of 70 lbs. and stand for long periods of timeAbility to work in a fast paced environmentOccasional evenings and weekends requiredA+ Certification preferredAbility to quickly learn new skills and translate knowledge to practical applicationBasic Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
