Production Associate
The Production Assembler I position is responsible for using components and parts to produce products for delivery.
Duties and responsibilities
Study and interpret assembly instructions.
Reads and interprets blueprints, positions parts, minor mechanical assemblies and examines connections for correct fit.
Listen to directions from supervisors.
Determine if all parts are present.
Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
Read parts list.
Assemble tools and materials.
Positions parts and subassemblies.
Assemble components.
Ensure all parts are fitted and screwed in properly.
Certified in conformal coating.
Report assembly and production issues to supervisor.
Documents actions by completing production assembly
Ensure working environment is clean and safe.
Report errors in product line.
Complete quality control forms.
Participates in team meetings.
Builds positive work relationships.
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements:
Qualifications and requirements
Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Required to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, vision screen and background check.
Working conditions
Must be able to work independently and function effectively as part of a team.
Occasional overtime may be required to include elongated shifts or occasional weekends.
May travel to client sites on rare occasions.
Physical requirements
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
This position is mostly seated but must also be able to stand/walk regularly.
