We are seeking a Family Law Paralegal who is passionate about supporting families through complex and emotional transitions and eager to play a key role in managing cases, strengthening internal workflows, and mentoring a Legal Assistant as the firm continues to grow. To learn more, visit our website: https://pursuitfamilylaw.com.Benefits:A flexible hybrid schedule: Only 1 day in the office is required, potential for full remote12 days of accrued PTO per year + sick time + 7 federal holidaysHealth insurance (eligible after 1 month of employment)401(k) with firm contributions after 6 months: 100% match up to 3% of compensation, 50% match on the next 2%A quarterly discretionary bonus structure based on hours billedA professional development budget for family law training, CLEs, and skill-buildingResponsibilities:Communicate with clients with empathy, clarity, and professionalism, especially in high-conflict or emotionally charged mattersManage attorney calendars, court deadlines, and case task lists with precisionDraft pleadings, declarations, motions, discovery requests/responses, and client correspondencePrepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trialHandle discovery from start to finish, including document managementE-file pleadings in King County and other Washington courts as neededMaintain clean, organized digital files in MyCase and DropboxParticipate in client meetings and help ensure clients feel informed and preparedContribute to internal systems, templates, and workflow improvementsMentor Legal Assistants, assign tasks, and serve as a bridge between the attorney and the support staffRequirements:2+ years of Washington state family law paralegal experienceStrong familiarity with King County Superior CourtSolid working knowledge of Washington court rules, local rules, and e-filing proceduresStrong drafting skills that are clear, persuasive, and detail-orientedExcellent organizational skills with the ability to independently track deadlinesComfortable working in a growing, systems-driven firm with evolving processesHigh emotional intelligence and a compassionate, client-centered mindsetBonus Experience:Experience with MyCase, Dropbox, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Microsoft 365Mandarin language skills and/or multicultural backgroundPrior experience mentoring or training support staffPlease note that this job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and is not representative of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
