The Mid Cloud Engineer / Developer supports cloud infrastructure automation and web platform migration efforts for USDA REE agencies, working across Linux server administration, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and content platform migrations (Umbraco and Drupal), with an emphasis on responsive front-end delivery. *Key Responsibilities* * Administer and maintain Linux servers, using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages for configuration and automation tasks. * Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform to support consistent, repeatable deployments. * Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub to automate build and deployment processes. * Support content and data migrations between platforms, including Umbraco (C#, .NET) and Drupal (PHP, MySQL) environments, using APIs, scripts, and plugins. * Develop and maintain front-end components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring responsive design across devices. * Apply SEO, accessibility, and user experience best practices to web platform migrations and enhancements. * Support cloud migration and deployment activities in collaboration with the broader cloud engineering team, including monitoring and troubleshooting after cutover. * Maintain project documentation and communicate migration status, issues, and risks to project stakeholders. * Participate in Agile development ceremonies and practices. *Required Qualifications & Skills* * Strong expertise in Linux server administration and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar). * Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform. * Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub. * Strong proficiency in both Umbraco (C#, .NET) and Drupal (PHP, MySQL). * Knowledge of tools and technologies for data migration, such as APIs, scripts, and plugins. * Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and responsive design. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong project management and communication skills. * Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. *Desired Qualifications* * Knowledge of SEO, accessibility standards, and user experience best practices is a plus.
