Surgical Tech Location: Mauston, WI Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $1,918 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position ID: 76510878 Shift: Monday - Thursday 7am-5:30pm, weekend call rotation - 7am Friday through 7am Monday. Must be a 15-mi Description: POSITION SUMMARY The Surgical Technician position prepares the operating room, including setting up the sterile field and setting up surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions. During surgery, this role passes instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon and prepares and manages surgical equipment, the sterile field, and specimens. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Maintain a clean and sterile surgical environment, provide the surgeon with appropriate instrumentation and equipment, and assist the surgeon during procedures. Prepare the operating room for surgery. Keep records of use of Steam Sterilizer. Perform initial instrument, sharps, and sponge counts with the circulator. Keep the suture carts organized and watch expiration dates. Turn over rooms in between cases. Assist the team members with gowning and gloving. Assist with patient positioning pre-operative and transport patient from cart to bed and back. Stock adequate supplies for surgery. Perform other duties as requested. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Required qualifications to effectively perform job. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Certified Surgical Technologist certification preferred. 1 years of related work experience preferred. Must have 2 references included in submission packet. BLS required Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
