Our systems connect to the technology a firm already uses, carry routine work forward, assemble context and surface exceptions so people can apply their judgment where it matters. Because we operate what we build alongside client teams, live work continually sharpens the system and expands what it can carry.We are building a small, high-agency team around this model. The work crosses traditional boundaries: understanding the operation, designing the system, deploying it and staying accountable for how it performs in practice.About The RoleYou build production systems that carry live capital-markets work across records, rules, documents, decisions and integrations. Some steps are deterministic. Others use AI to interpret information, assemble context or prepare work for review. The system has to make clear what happened, what remains uncertain and where a person needs to apply judgment.Because Decimal operates its systems alongside client teams, you will see how your work behaves under real conditions. You own problems end to end, improve the shared platform as deployments teach us more and leave behind code and decisions another engineer can follow.What You'll DoShip end-to-end systems. Design, build and run production workflows across investment operations, compliance and corporate governance.Model the domain. Represent people, entities, accounts, documents, rules, approvals and exceptions in structures that can survive the next client and use case.Build with AI carefully. Use models where they improve the work, with explicit boundaries, evaluations and paths for human review.Connect the operation. Integrate Decimal with CRM, portfolio, document, identity, signature and other systems already used by the firm.Harden what is live. Add tests, observability and recovery paths around the work clients depend on every day.What You NeedStrong full-stack engineering experience with production web systems.Comfort working through messy domain rules, documents, permissions and third-party integrations.Experience with applied AI systems is useful, especially where reliability and evaluation matter more than a polished demo.A habit of writing code, decisions and operational notes that other people can follow.Judgment about when to generalize, when to configure and when a client-specific need should remain client-specific.This is a contract role.
