Job TypeFull-time, Part-timeDescriptionBenefits(Note: Some benefits require full-time work status)Friday/Saturday/Sunday Pay Differential401(k) Matching (up to 5% with immediate full vesting)Holiday PayPaid Personal LeaveEmployee Medical, Dental and Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceShort and Long-Term Disability InsuranceDiscounted Meals ResponsibilitiesThe specific duties and extent of responsibility of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Serves as a companion and an advocate to all residentsUnderstands and practices Academy Boulder's procedures for Assisted Living resident supportReviews and understands each Assisted Living resident's care planParticipates/leads and assists residents with activities of daily living, including but not limited to, dressing, bathing, oral hygiene, ambulation, transferring, grooming, eating, and toiletingAssists with preparation, serving, and cleanup of meals, including the escorting of residents to the dining roomDocuments resident care and observations in electronic health record (EHR) systemInforms supervisor of resident changes of condition, increased care needs, and/or resident family concernsPrepares and administers medications and treatmentsResponds to emergencies and performs first aid as neededTakes and records temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration ratesKeeps residents' rooms and common areas neat and clean, notifies housekeeping/maintenance of special needsEncourages and supports the residents' participation in meaningful activities and social engagementCreates and maintains a safe workplace; reports unsafe areas or situations to the appropriate department headProtects residents' rights, records, and privacy as required by federal, state, and local regulationsAdheres to all state regulations governing assisted living and medication administration QualificationsFluency in English; effective verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team memberAbility to think, act and intervene independently and appropriately in both routine and emergency situationsWillingness to work flexible hours, weekends and occasional holidays, as required Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentQMAP certification, a plusCPR certification, a plusFirst aid certification, a plusSalary Description
