Sales Development Representative

Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) are responsible for appointment and meeting scheduling (demos), targeted outbound prospecting, and relationship building. As the initial point of contact for the company, SDRs need to showcase proficiency in product knowledge and understanding of the target market. SDRs who excel and surpass expectations may be evaluated for potential opportunities within our Account Executive team.Opportunities are available in both remote and hybrid work arrangements. Team members located in the Dallas–Fort Worth area may work a hybrid schedule from our Plano, TX office, with remote work on Wednesdays. Candidates located outside the area will be considered for fully remote positions.Duties IncludeMaintain standard availability Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. CTResponsible for an assigned territory or portfolio of customers for remote sales development outreachPartner with Marketing to ensure qualified leads flow effectively through lead-handling processesCoordinate with Account Executives to understand customer needs and identify sales opportunitiesReach out to prospects to promote new and existing products and servicesSelect appropriate product information to meet individual customer needs and support upsellingBuild and maintain relationships with prospective customersUtilize Salesforce and other tools in our sales tech stack to track inbound leads, outbound outreach, and prospecting activitiesIdentify prospect needs, determine viability, and book meetings for the appropriate Account ExecutiveProactively seek new opportunities within assigned territories and marketsIdentify cross-selling opportunities across Progress Learning productsSupport company-wide sales initiatives in collaboration with sales leadershipPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills, Behavior, or KnowledgeStrong verbal and written communication skillsActive listening and consultative questioning skillsAbility to research prospects and tailor outreachStrong time management and organizational skillsComfort working in a fast-paced, goal-driven environmentResilience and persistence in handling objections and rejectionTech-savvy with CRM and sales tools (Salesforce experience preferred)Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionallyCoachability and openness to feedbackProfessionalism, integrity, and accountabilityCuriosity and a desire for continuous learningBenefitsProgress Learning offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including:Base salary with a variable compensation structureMedical, Dental, and Vision insuranceCompany-paid Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Life & AD&D coverage401(k) with employer match20 days of PTO annually (prorated for new hires), plus 11 paid holidaysPaid maternity and paternity leaveAll required work equipment providedEqual Opportunity Employer StatementProgress Learning is an equal opportunity employer.
