Job Details:Senior CAD Drafter – Curtain Wall / Storefront Systems Long Island, NY | Full-Time | PermanentEstablished and growing Glass & Glazing Subcontractor on Long Island is seeking aSenior CAD Drafterwith strong experience in curtain wall, storefront, and architectural glass systems. We specialize in commercial façade projects including curtain walls, storefronts, canopies, entrances, and custom glazing systems.Responsibilities: Prepare detailed shop drawings for curtain wall, storefront, and canopy systemsInterpret architectural and structural drawings to develop accurate fabrication packagesCoordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and field teamsIncorporate RFIs, revisions, and field measurements into updated drawingsEnsure compliance with project specs, structural requirements, and manufacturer standardsSupport fabrication and installation teams with clear, buildable details Qualifications: 5+ years of drafting experience in the glass and glazing industryStrong curtain wall and storefront detailing experience requiredProficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience a plus)Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawingsStrong understanding of façade systems, anchoring, and installation methodsDetail-oriented with strong communication skills What We Offer: Competitive salary based on experienceMedical benefits401(k)Paid vacation and holidaysStable pipeline of high-profile commercial projects If you are a seasoned glass industry drafter looking to join a well-respected Long Island firm, we want to hear from you.
