Propane Driver Weekends Required

We are actively pursuing experienced tanker truck drivers to fill a propane driver position in the Appalachia region. Applications being accepted for positions opening up approximately the 3rd week of September.
Preference given to applicants with 6 months to 1 year experience in bulk propane/butane tanking.

DHT Group, based out of Reese, Michigan has been ensuring safety and satisfaction for over 40 years. DHT is hiring at all facilities with additional Michigan locations in Newport, Sault Ste. Marie, and Port Huron, as well as Bellefontaine, Ohio. DHT has several divisions including Tanker, Gravel Train, Flatbed, Van, Excavating, and Landscape Supply. DHT also operates full-service repair facilities.
Propane Driver responsibilities are to safely load, transport, and unload propane promptly and efficiently in order to serve DHT customers’ needs in the Moundsville, WV region. This position requires at least one weekend day a week to be worked.
Up to $5000 sign on bonus based on experience.

Propane Driver Essential Duties:
Attach terminal hoses to the truck connections to pump propane into the tanker
Use permanent hoses attached to the filling ports or the hoses stored in the truck to unload the tanker
Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods
Complete all “pre-trip” requirements before each truck run and “post-trip” requirements at the end of each shift
Operates a powered industrial vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations
Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals
Assists with loading and unloading of materials, using specialized equipment when warranted
Maintains work orders, invoices, shipping bills, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to appropriate staff
Communicates effectively verbally and in writing at terminals and with Dispatch, Drivers, vendors, and customers
Facilitates routine service on trucks, reports maintenance malfunctions to appropriate parties
Arranges trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes
Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy

Propane Driver Compensation Package:

Requirements:
Licensed CDL Class A license with clean MVR
X endorsement
Flexible schedule with weekend availability
1 year of semi-truck driving experience
Propane Driver Preferred Requirements:
1-2 years of tanker/propane driving experience +FAST PASS
Propane Driver Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen
Must be able to pass a DOT physical
