Manufacturing Technical Application Engineer

Responsibilities: Provide expert technical support to customers, solve complex challenges, and drive product development.Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers, conduct trials, troubleshoot systems, and ensure products meet customer requirements.Manage product development projects for existing and new customers.Define customer specifications in collaboration with quality and process engineers.Develop and execute test methods to ensure product quality and meet customer expectations.Oversee on-site trials with production and quality teams.Assess customer needs and recommend solutions.Document trial processes and product parameters using MES, SAP, Excel, Mini-Tab, and other systems.Troubleshoot systems using deductive reasoning and technical expertise.Generate accurate, detailed, and customer-facing documentation.Deliver presentations and training to customers and internal teams.Mentor employees to support professional growth.Respond to customer inquiries regarding product safety, including Proposition 65, REACH, and heavy metal content.Maintain and manage internal product specification systems in SAP.Travel to customer and vendor sites as needed, sometimes on short notice.Support quality complaint investigations and root cause analysis.Collaborate with suppliers to develop and optimize raw materials. Product development for existing as well as new customers.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, process engineering, packaging technology, chemical engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)Experience with data networks troubleshootingExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to follow instructions and implement effectivelyProficiency in computers (Windows, Microsoft Office)Industry certification (e.g., CTS) preferredProject management experienceWillingness to travel up to 10%
