Senior Software Engineer - Browser Platform

Overview In this role you will help advance on-device ML capabilities for Edge by collaborating across teams to optimize models, build evaluation pipelines, and integrate runtimes. You will influence API designs and interoperability with the web ecosystem, contributing to the Chromium project where possible. ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-team researchers to evaluate and optimize on-device modelsDevelop evaluation pipelines and datasets to ensure models meet developers’ needsIntegrate models and runtimes into Edge and improve the on-device ML stackEngage with the web ecosystem to ensure high-quality API designs and cross-browser interoperabilityContribute to the Chromium project for shareable components and improvements Key requirementsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years engineering experience with C/C++/C#/Java/Python or equivalentPast experience contributing to a large-scale software projectExperience evaluating and training ML modelsSolid design, coding, and debugging skills in modern programming languagesCross-functional collaborationStrong communicationProblem-solving and debuggingC, C++, C#, Java, PythonML model evaluation and trainingOn-device ML pipelines and runtimes
