Associate Attorney - Education Law

This role offers a unique opportunity to support educational institutions across California as they guide the next generation toward academic and creative success. Our client is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney for their Riverside office within the Southern California Education Law Practice Group. The position involves advising public and private K-12 schools, community college districts, and related entities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with public agencies on issues such as governance, labor and employment, and conducting investigations involving alleged discrimination, harassment, or other misconduct.RESPONSIBILITIESAdvise district and school administrators on personnel matters, including employee discipline, dismissal, and separationAssist clients with California Public Records Act responses, Brown Act compliance, and conflict-of-interest mattersRepresent educational agencies in administrative hearingsCounsel management on employee leave laws and disability accommodation issuesSupport Title IX and Uniform Complaint Officers in managing complaint processes in accordance with applicable laws and policiesConduct investigations and/or serve as a decision-maker in Title IX matters and other student or employee-related casesProvide client trainings on relevant topics and participate in internal and external conferences and marketing activitiesQUALIFICATIONSJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolActive member of the State Bar of California in good standing4+ years of labor and/or employment law experience, preferably involving educational or other public entitiesStrong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skillsLitigation and/or administrative hearing experience preferredExperience with investigations and Title IX matters is a plusAbility to develop and maintain strong client relationshipsProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentBENEFITSBonus program: Annual performance-based bonus opportunitiesMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance401(k) plan with employer matchingProfit-sharing contribution
