Fitness Manager The goal of this position is to maintain welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and clean fitness floors at both ARC locations. The position will include picking up equipment, cleaning equipment, conversing and assisting members with equipment or exercises, communicating club programs and how members can get involved, and personal training some. This person will split time between the two ARC locations and will work hand in hand with our membership team with a focus of constantly engaging, welcoming and challenging our members with their fitness goals and regimens.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Work in this capacity 30 hours per week; spending time on the fitness floors at both ARC locations, during the times when the fitness floor is heavily utilizedOversee personal training programsDevelop new fitness offerings (classes, challenges, wellness programs)Ensure programs meet member needs and industry standardsManage the fitness floors to ensure all club policies are being followed (youth policies, cell phone policies, noise policies, etc.)Hire, train, and manage personal trainersCreate staff schedules and manage payroll hoursConduct performance evaluations and ongoing coachingEnsure staff maintain certifications (e.g., CPR, fitness credentials)Drive personal training sales for you and your teamSet and track sales goals for trainers and programsPromote services through outreach, events, or partnershipsBuild relationships with members and address concernsCreate schedule for weekly fitness consultations and assessments (one session weekly open to all members, shared schedule between all trainers)Ensure a positive, motivating gym environmentImplement retention strategies (follow-ups, progress tracking)Manage budgets, reports, and key performance metrics (working with GM)Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the facilityEnsure compliance with health and safety regulationsOversee equipment maintenance and inventoryCoordinate promotions, events, and challengesWork with marketing teams on campaigns (social media, email, etc.)Enforce safety protocols and liability proceduresEnsure proper use of equipment and injury prevention practicesStay updated on fitness industry regulations and trendsPersonal train as a 1099 independent contractorSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:Communicates policies, expectations and goals with personal trainersFitness floor employeesQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Show ability to write basic business letters in relations to reservation confirmations, local information, payments/reimbursements, and customer service items. Applicant should also be able to communication effectively through typed/written memos, notes, and e-mails.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Regularly required to bend, squat, twist, runMust have a high degree of energy, be physically fit, and have the endurance to compete on the tennis court at a high levelRegularly required to focus, see, talk and hearFrequently required to sit, stand, walk and runRequired to lift up to 50 lbs. and frequently must aide or assist participantsWORK ENVIRONMENT:The majority of this work will be done on the fitness floor, surrounded by fitness equipment. While performing the duties of this position, employee must be able to work with various types of fitness equipment. Must be able to work a split schedule that may include evenings and weekends. The schedule is outlined belowSCHEDULE:Currently, we expect 40 hours of time to be shared between ARC South and Four Points. Will alternate that weekly schedule each week
