Survey Instrument Operator
MSA is seeking a Survey Instrument Operator to support our field survey operations. This role is critical to collecting accurate data, supporting the Party Chief, and delivering high-quality results across a variety of projects. What You’ll Do: • Operate total stations, GPS/GNSS, data collectors, and levels • Assist with boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys • Perform field measurements, basic calculations, and maintain accurate notes/data • Support layout of utilities, roadways, and site improvements • Set stakes and interpret plans/drawings • Maintain survey equipment and assist with daily field operations What We’re Looking For: • 1–3 years of surveying experience (or Survey Rodman background) • Working knowledge of survey equipment and field procedures • Ability to read plans and work outdoors in varying conditions • Strong attention to detail and reliability • Valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license Why MSA: • Guaranteed 40 hours/week (rain or shine) • Clear path to Party Chief advancement • Hands-on training, mentorship, and career growth opportunities Location: Virginia Beach, VA Position: Full-Time, HourlyJoin a team where your work directly impacts the success of every project.
