In 2024, Fives achieved sales of $2.5 billion with a team of close to 9,000 employees and a network of over 100 operational units in over 25 countries.Position SummaryWe are seeking a self-motivated and driven Sales Engineer to lead market development and provide technical sales support for our portfolio of precision grinding and superfinishing solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, fostering customer relationships, and delivering customized solutions tailored to production needs.Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic plans to grow sales of the following product lines:Grinding Equipment : ID/OD grinders, face grinders, dual face grinders.Superfinishing Equipment : Inner and outer race superfinish machines for bearing applications.Flat Lapping Machines : Single-side and double-side precision lapping systems.Act as the primary interface between customers and engineering teams to define and deliver application-specific solutions.Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, customer outreach, and industry networking.Conduct technical presentations, product demos, and support trade show activities.Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth project handoff from sales to engineering, and ultimately to delivery and support.Prepare quotations, proposals, and customer documentation.Maintain an in-depth understanding of industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies. Qualifications: Minimum of 3-5 years of technical sales experience in capital equipment or manufacturing systems; experience in grinding, superfinishing, or precision machining highly preferred.Industry experience in bearing manufacturing processes is a strong differentiator , particularly with regard to ID/OD grinding, face grinding, and raceway superfinishing applications.Knowledge and an existing customer base in flat lapping applications for the optics and semiconductor industries is a major plus , particularly in high-precision, single- and double-sided lapping solutions.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, especially within the bearing or precision component industries.Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven , with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as required.Benefits:Hired employees will receive great benefits along with an extremely competitive compensation package.
