High School ELA Teacher - Anticipated

HIGH SCHOOL ELA TEACHER Anticipated Placement : Beacon High SchoolBeacon High School is seeking a New York State certified English Language Arts Teacher. This is a probationary, tenure-track position that begins at the start of the 2026-27 school year.Responsibilities :Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned ELA instruction across multiple grade levels;Teach varied course load that may include general education, honors, and/or co-taught sections, adjusting instruction to meet the needs of all learners;Differentiate instruction and materials to support students across a wide range of reading levels, learning needs, and language backgrounds;Design engaging, text-rich units that incorporate a range of literary and informational texts, with attention to diverse voices and perspectives;Participate actively in department meetings, professional development, and school-wide literacy initiatives;Contribute to extracurricular activities, clubs, or athletic programs when possible.
