Although most don't realize it, our products are used to build the homes, roads, and bridges that people throughout the Midwest use every day of their lives!Central Stone Company has an immediate full-time opening for 1st Shift Quarry Plant Operator & Maintenance position at our Antire Quarry, in Eureka, MO. This is a Local 513 Operator's Union position. The Plant Operator & Maintenance position is involved with the activities associated with the rock crushing processing plant; includes monitoring, maintaining, and repairing the crushers, conveyors, and vibrating sizing screens. Ideal candidates would be experienced with general manufacturing processes and quarry operation and maintenance, but we are happy to train those with the proper mindset and work ethic. This position typically works Monday through Friday - with occasional Saturdays depending on peal season needs.Plant Operator & Maintenance candidate requirements:Safety-FocusedStrong mechanical aptitudeExperience with general manufacturing processes and/or operating/maintaining heavy equipment.Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditionsSelf-motivated with a solid work ethicPlant Operator major responsibilities include:Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and MSHAWhile crushing plant is in operation, this position will walk around and observe crushers and conveyors for proper function, perform greasing of bearings, assist fellow crews members with plant mode changes, and perform repairs as needed.Operate and monitor all equipment and production area safely and efficientlyPerform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections; repair and/or clean equipment as neededCommunicate with plant management team on all safety, maintenance, and production needsPerform other tasks as assigned by supervisorThis is a great time to join our team.
