This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems throughout industrial environments while ensuring work meets project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.As a Journeyman Electrician, you will play a critical role in executing electrical installations, coordinating job site activities, and mentoring apprentices to support successful project delivery.Position SummaryThe Journeyman Electrician performs electrical installations, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs while ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes. This role also supports project coordination by managing daily work tasks, monitoring resources, and collaborating with project managers and team members to maintain productivity and project schedules.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall electrical systems, wiring, panels, and related components according to project specificationsDiagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in residential, commercial, and industrial environmentsPerform maintenance and repairs to ensure reliable electrical system performanceEnsure installations meet company quality standards and workmanship expectationsMaintain compliance with the National Electrical Code and applicable regulationsFollow job site safety procedures and enforce proper safety practicesPrepare work for inspections and support regulatory compliance requirementsParticipate in ongoing safety training and compliance initiativesCoordinate daily work tasks to meet project schedules and productivity targetsMonitor materials, equipment, and resources required for job completionMaintain documentation related to installations, repairs, and work progressProvide guidance and instruction to apprentices during electrical work activitiesSupport knowledge transfer of electrical practices and safety proceduresMaintain effective communication with project managers and team membersConduct on-site client engagement and operational support activities, requiring travel approximately 50-75%.Minimum QualificationsJourneyman Electrician license or equivalent certificationHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalentMinimum of 4-5 years of electrical experience in residential, commercial, or industrial environmentsStrong knowledge of electrical systems, installation techniques, and troubleshooting practicesWorking knowledge of the National Electrical Code and electrical safety standardsAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specificationsStrong problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred QualificationsExperience working on large industrial electrical projectsPrevious experience mentoring or supervising apprenticesExperience coordinating job site activities and project schedulesAdditional electrical certifications or technical trainingExperience as a Leader or ForemanWhy Join Us?At Direct Companies, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality electrical and automation solutions through skilled craftsmanship and strong teamwork.
