The work environment combines hands-on technical tasks with clear procedures and support from experienced colleagues.Role Description This is a contract, hybrid Technician role based in Houston, TX, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home tasks as business needs allow. The Technician will perform hands-on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems, following company standards and safety guidelines. Daily responsibilities may include inspecting components, performing tests and measurements, documenting work performed, and updating service records or reports. The role will also involve coordinating with supervisors, project managers, and team members to plan tasks, manage work orders, and ensure timely completion of assignments. The Technician will use basic tools, diagnostic equipment, and software applications, while communicating clearly with clients and internal stakeholders about status, issues, and next steps.Qualifications Solid technical aptitude with experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of mechanical, electrical, or related systems.Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams, and work instructions, and to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols.Strong organization and documentation skills, including maintaining accurate service logs, reports, and inventory records.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and clients in person and remotely.Comfort using basic computer applications and mobile devices for work orders, time entry, and communication.Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification, trade school training, or relevant industry credentials are a plus.Ability to travel within the Houston, TX area as needed, and to work in a variety of on-site environments.
