This role is critical for providing technical leadership, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring senior engineers within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of complex software systems, a track record of delivering high-quality, scalable solutions, and excellent communication skills.We're looking for both front-end and back-end engineers, while the ideal profile is full-stack.Key Responsibilities:Partner with the product managers and engineers in design and implementation of product enhancements and bug fixesDrive architectural decisions and best practices across multiple teamsMentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellenceCollaborate with product management, design, and other engineering teams to define and execute the product roadmapConduct complex code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high code qualityIdentify and address technical debt and performance bottlenecksServe as a technical point of contact for cross-functional stakeholdersWork as part of a globally distributed engineering team in a fast-paced environment with ambitious goalsRequirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 8+ years of experience OR Master's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experienceExpert proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, C++) with the ability to quickly ramp up and contribute to a large polyglot codebaseExperience with scalability, security, high-availability, software maintenance, and patchingExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to solving complex challengesStrong verbal and written communication skills, applying them effectively during collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholdersDemonstrated experience in the production software development lifecycle, including rigorous testing methodologies (unit, functional, integration), performance engineering, and debuggingDeep understanding of software architecture, data structures, and algorithms(Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.) Preferred Qualifications:Experience with AI coding assistantsExperience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring toolsAdditional Job Description:Compensation And BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $108,000 - $192,000This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.Broadcom offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package: Medical, dental and vision plans, 401(K) participation including company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company paid holidays, paid sick leave and vacation time.
