Equipment Management Service and Repair – EMSAR, headquartered in Austin, Texas, is a fast-growing national technical services company providing maintenance, repair and installation services to OEMs in the Healthcare sector.We are seeking an entry-level technician responsible for assisting with the maintenance, cleaning, repair, and refurbishment of various types of vacuum pumps and related equipment. Our company offers a supportive and collaborative work environment, with opportunities for growth and professional development.Key ResponsibilitiesHere's a breakdown of common responsibilities and qualifications:Assembly and Disassembly: Disassembling and reassembling vacuum pumps and peripherals as required for cleaning, inspection, and repair.Testing and Inspection: Testing assembled units to ensure they meet specifications and performing visual and measurement inspections.Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including inspection results, parts used, and test data.Preventative Maintenance: Assisting with preventative maintenance tasks on pumps and workshop equipment.Cleaning and Decontamination: Cleaning vacuum pump components using various methods like high-pressure washers, bead blasters, and chemical cleaners.Safety Adherence: Following all safety policies and procedures, including those specific to handling chemicals and operating equipment safely.Teamwork: Collaborating with colleagues and other departments as needed. QualificationsQualifications:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience: 2-4 years’ experience in manufacturing and preferably some type of final assembly inspection process. Mechanical Aptitude: A mechanical background is preferred, and the ability to work with hand and power tools is essential. Exhibit the ability to perform activities without constant supervision.Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for ensuring proper cleaning, assembly, and documentation.Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills are necessary for collaborating with colleagues and understanding instructions.Physical Abilities: The ability to lift and move equipment (often up to 50 pounds) and work in a workshop environment is generally required.Willingness to Learn: Being a self-starter and motivated to learn about different types of vacuum pumps and their operation is important.
