*Position Summary*
EP Logistics LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented *CTPAT Coordinator* to manage and maintain our Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) security program.
The CTPAT Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that EP Logistics remains compliant with applicable CTPAT security requirements across our U.S. operations and works closely with our Mexico operations, warehouse, transportation, customs brokerage, HR, IT, and management teams.
The ideal candidate will have experience with CTPAT, customs, logistics, warehousing, transportation, or international trade and be comfortable conducting audits, identifying security risks, maintaining documentation, and working with employees and business partners to ensure compliance.
*Key Responsibilities*
*CTPAT Program Management*
* Serve as the primary coordinator for EP Logistics' CTPAT program.
* Maintain and update the company's CTPAT security profile and related documentation.
* Ensure compliance with current CTPAT Minimum Security Criteria and applicable CBP requirements.
* Monitor changes to CTPAT requirements and communicate necessary changes to management and affected departments.
* Coordinate CTPAT requirements across warehouse, transportation, customs brokerage, and other operational areas.
* Maintain the company in a continuous state of CTPAT readiness.
*Security Risk Assessments*
* Conduct periodic CTPAT security risk assessments of facilities and operations.
* Identify vulnerabilities involving physical security, access control, personnel, cargo, transportation, information systems, and business partners.
* Develop corrective-action plans for identified deficiencies.
* Track corrective actions through completion and maintain supporting documentation.
*Facility & Physical Security*
* Conduct regular inspections of warehouses, yards, gates, fencing, lighting, cameras, alarms, and access-control systems.
* Verify that restricted areas are properly controlled.
* Monitor employee, visitor, and contractor identification procedures.
* Ensure trailers, containers, loading docks, and cargo areas are properly secured.
* Document security inspections and follow up on deficiencies.
*Cargo & Transportation Security*
* Monitor procedures designed to prevent unauthorized access to cargo.
* Verify that trailer and container inspection procedures are being followed.
* Monitor seal-control procedures, seal logs, and seal discrepancies.
* Investigate and document suspected cargo tampering, theft, or security breaches.
* Work with transportation providers to ensure applicable CTPAT security requirements are followed.
*Personnel Security*
* Coordinate required employee background-screening and security procedures.
* Ensure new employees receive appropriate security training.
* Maintain employee security-training records.
* Ensure terminated employees have company identification and facility/system access removed promptly.
* Monitor compliance with employee identification and access-control procedures.
*Business Partner Security*
* Maintain CTPAT documentation for applicable carriers, vendors, customers, and other business partners.
* Conduct periodic reviews of higher-risk business partners.
* Maintain security questionnaires, certifications, agreements, and other supporting documentation.
* Follow up with business partners when required security information is missing or outdated.
*Training & Employee Awareness*
* Coordinate CTPAT security training for employees.
* Provide security orientation for new employees.
* Maintain training records and ensure required refresher training is completed.
* Promote employee awareness of cargo security, access control, suspicious activity, and security reporting procedures.
*Audits & CBP Compliance*
* Conduct periodic internal CTPAT audits and inspections.
* Maintain an organized CTPAT compliance file.
* Prepare EP Logistics for CTPAT validations and CBP reviews.
* Coordinate responses to CBP/CTPAT requests.
* Track audit findings and ensure corrective actions are completed.
* Maintain documentation demonstrating compliance with CTPAT requirements.
*Incident Management*
* Maintain procedures for reporting and documenting security incidents.
* Investigate cargo theft, seal discrepancies, unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and other security violations.
* Prepare incident reports and corrective-action documentation.
* Escalate significant security issues to management and appropriate authorities when necessary.
*Cross-Border Responsibilities*
Because EP Logistics operates extensively between *El Paso and Ciudad Juárez*, the CTPAT Coordinator will work closely with our Mexico operations to maintain consistent security practices throughout the cross-border supply chain.
The position will coordinate with operations, transportation, customs brokerage, warehouse personnel, and management to identify and address security risks associated with cross-border cargo movement.
*Qualifications*
* 2+ years of experience in CTPAT, customs compliance, logistics, warehousing, transportation, security, or international trade preferred.
* Working knowledge of CTPAT security requirements and CBP expectations.
* Experience conducting audits, inspections, or risk assessments.
* Strong organizational and documentation skills.
* Ability to identify security risks and develop practical corrective actions.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
* Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
* Experience with U.S.-Mexico cross-border operations is highly desirable.

* Timely investigation and documentation of security incidents.
* Successful preparation for CBP/CTPAT validations.
* Continuous improvement of EP Logistics' supply-chain security program.
