Deputy Communications Director — ACLU of Florida (Senior Leadership Role)The ACLU of Florida is seeking a senior leadership communications professional to help shape the organization’s public narrative, guide media strategy, and strengthen statewide communications infrastructure. This role reports directly to the Communications Director and serves as their key strategic partner.The Deputy Communications Director leads a team of communications professionals driving wide‑ranging, geographically focused media strategies across issue areas including First Amendment freedoms, equality, justice & dignity rights, and democracy & accountability. The role provides day‑to‑day operational leadership while also serving as a senior strategist—developing communications plans, advising leadership, managing crisis response, and building the systems and talent that sustain long‑term organizational capacity.This is fundamentally a people leadership and organizational management role.
