Our braids are used in a variety of applications ranging from automobile side impact airbags to jet engine stator vanes and from hockey sticks to prosthetics. Current R&D programs involve the use of braid in structures of unprecedented scale, such as fan cases, rocket nozzles and commercial transport airframes. A&P Technology’s success has created the need for a Manufacturing Engineer. The Manufacturing Engineer will develop, design, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods and support various special manufacturing projects. They will be responsible for supporting multiple manufacturing operations across various groups, buildings, and product forms while partnering with various internal teams to ensure customer requirements are efficiently achieved. Responsibilities: • Energetically take a hands-on approach with manufacturing process improvements • Encourage, evaluate and implement employees’ suggestions for continuous improvement • Analyze operations data to guide strategic planning • Develop, design, and implement solutions to process and mechanical needs • Collaborate with Application Engineering, Machinery Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing teams to generate efficient processes and machinery for ensuring timely product delivery • Advocate and implement lean manufacturing principles within manufacturing environment • Provide support with troubleshooting, scheduling, and sourcing for manufacturing operations Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Process, or Manufacturing Engineering • 3+ Years Experience • Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar CAD software • Detailed understanding of mechanical systems • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time, and Process Flow within Manufacturing • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Passionate about problem solving and exploring new solutions • Strong troubleshooting experience • Self-motivated, adaptable personality and willing to work in fast paced, dynamic environment A&P Technology is a fun and exciting place to work.
