As a School Crossing Guard, you will be responsible for directing traffic, escorting students across the street, and ensuring that all traffic laws and regulations are followed. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe environment for students and pedestrians alike. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to perform repetitive motions Ability to read and interpret maps Basic arithmetic skills Ability to lift and carry heavy weights Knowledge of traffic regulations Moral character Good hand - eye coordination Preferred Qualifications: Experience in public recreation or safety Responsibilities: Direct traffic and escort students across the street Ensure that all traffic laws and regulations are followed Maintain a safe environment for students and pedestrians Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school officials Report any incidents or safety concerns to the appropriate authorities Skills: As a School Crossing Guard, you will use your skills in traffic control, communication, and problem-solving on a daily basis. You will need to be able to quickly assess situations and make decisions to ensure the safety of students and pedestrians. Your ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, school officials and law enforcement will be critical in maintaining a safe environment. Additionally, your knowledge of traffic regulations will be essential in directing traffic and escorting students across the street.
