Lead Risk Specialist, Analyst
Job Description:Independently underwrite lease and loan transactions for healthcare customers, including hospitals, health systems, physician groups, outpatient centers, and other provider organizationsAnalyze financial statements, cash flow, payer mix, reimbursement trends, debt obligations, and credit historyAssess industry-specific risk factors such as reimbursement dependence, regulatory exposure, patient volume trends, and operating margin volatilityEvaluate guarantors, ownership structures, and management strengthPrepare clear, well-supported credit memoranda with risk ratings and recommendationsStructure healthcare finance transactions to mitigate risk through pricing, tenor, amortization, collateral, and guaranteesEvaluate equipment types and usage and associated residual or usage riskPartner with Sales to balance customer solutions with prudent risk principlesCollaborate with Legal to ensure enforceable security interests, UCC filings, and compliance with credit policyManage underwriting workflow through credit approval and deal closureProvide ongoing credit oversight for an assigned healthcare portfolioConduct quarterly, annual, and MAC reviews, monitoring financial performance, covenant compliance, and early warning indicatorsTrack changes in reimbursement models, payer concentration, or financial condition that could impact credit qualityRecommend risk mitigation actions, restructures, amendments, or credit escalations as neededEnsure underwriting and portfolio management activities comply with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standardsMaintain strong awareness of healthcare regulatory and reimbursement environments and their impact on credit riskContribute to enhancements in healthcare underwriting standards, risk frameworks, and portfolio monitoring practicesServe as a healthcare credit subject matter expert and mentor junior analysts on complex transactionsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field (or HS diploma/GED with 10+ years of relevant experience)6+ years of progressive experience in credit analysis or underwriting, preferably within healthcare finance, commercial lending, or equipment leasingProven ability to collaborate across Sales, Legal, Capital Markets, Asset Management, and OperationsAbility to independently manage complex healthcare credits and exercise sound risk judgmentStrong financial statement analysis and cash flow evaluation skillsExperience underwriting lease and loan structures, including collateralized transactionsStrong written and verbal communication skillsBenefits:medicaldentalvisionpaid time offa 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunitieslifedisabilityaccident insurancetuition reimbursement
