Learn more at www.coreweave.com.What You’ll DoCoreWeave is seeking a highly skilled and motivated manager to join our Hardware Engineering Team, reporting to the Senior Manager of Hardware Engineering. In this role you will support the Hardware Engineering (METAL) team. METAL is responsible for building firmware bundles, testing, validation, automation, sustaining support, and hardware failure analysis. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the team’s roadmap, creating a hiring plan to grow the team, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, managing the team’s day to day workloads, and working closely with CoreWeave hardware vendors on advanced failure analysis.About The RoleYour Responsibilities:Build and lead a team who is focused on rapidly delivering high quality resultsManage day to day workloads, sprints, and long term project planningIdentify opportunities to improve process flows and speed through systems and toolsDevelop measurable goals for the team and ensure alignment to deliverFacilitate constructive communication across all teams, and provide coaching and counseling by mentoring, one-on-one meetings, and regular performance feedbackWork closely with recruiting team to attract and evaluate talentTeam ResponsibilitiesProvide sustaining hardware and software support to internal teamsDevelop and maintain tooling to support CoreWeave’s hardware/firmware automation and monitoringPerform hardware failure analysis and track RMAs with hardware vendorsCreate and maintain accurate documentation of hardware designs, specifications, test procedures, and resultsWho You Are3+ years experience managing operational teamsA passion for leading emerging teams in a fast-paced environmentHands on experience with datacenter class hardware and infrastructureExperience coaching staff that work on challenging issues and solutions that are scalable and executed rapidlyPrior success in creating processes and developing cross-disciplinary collaboration between engineering, operations, support, sales, and product groupsEnthusiasm for staffing, interviewing, growing and retaining talentDrives operational excellence through scalable, efficient processesHighly effective communicator with the organizational rigor to align cross-disciplinary stakeholders and drive executionExceptional attention to detail and follow-upPreferred: (if applicable)Prior experience managing distributed teams with a mix of hardware and software engineersPrior experience working upstream with open source projectsStrong JIRA experienceWhy CoreWeave?AboutAt CoreWeave, we work hard, have fun, and move fast! Come join us!The base salary range for this role is $165,000 to $242,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
