Food Production Associate

Job Description Join the Saint Paul Public Schools Nutrition Services team and help prepare nutritious meals for students across the district. As a Food Production Worker, you'll be part of a dedicated team that ensures every student receives healthy, high-quality meals in a clean and safe environment.Key Responsibilities:Prepare, cook, and portion food items according to recipes and menusMaintain food safety and sanitation standards in all work areasAssist with setup and cleanup of production areasOperate kitchen equipment safely and efficientlyFollow production schedules and supervisor directionsSupport meal packagingQualifications:Ability to follow instructionsComfortable with physical work in a fast-paced environmentPrior food handling experience preferred—but not required!Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a teamStrong attention to cleanliness and food safety practicesPhysical Demands:Lift up to 25 lbs frequently; occasionally up to 50 lbsPush/pull up to 75 lbsStand for long periods of timeScheduleFull-Time Monday–Friday daytime hours 6-2:30No weekends or holidays!Weekly pay $17/hrBenefits:Health care insurance benefits available first of the month following 60 days of employment. Thirty (30) hours worked per week must be averaged in order to maintain coverage. 401k enrollment is available per the Secure Act guidelines. Earned Sick and Safe time is accrued and can be used per the State of MN guidelines.
