The Specialist drives customer sales and satisfaction through direct contact, phone, or electronic communications. Core functions include sales growth activities, territory and customer management, prospecting, contract pricing negotiations, product presentations, inventory and forecast management, account planning, and closing sales. The Specialist is assigned an established account with annual goals for sales and margin growth.Which tasks will you perform?Manage a territory with a growth outlook and forecast analysisConduct customer visits and off-site activities to drive sales in the assigned territoryTrack sales performance via software platformsMaintain product knowledge of supplier partners (Endress+Hauser, Draeger Gas Detection, Pepperl+Fuchs, Brooks, Fluke Process, and Samson Controls) and application expertise, including pricing structuresCommunicate clearly, negotiate, and manage sales planningInitiate outbound sales activities such as cold calling and collaborate with marketingOperate with a small-business owner mindset when managing the territory and customer baseCo-operate with vendor partners and perform other duties as assignedWhat do we expect from you?Bachelor's or technical degree, or equivalent combination of skills and experienceThree years of sales experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office and at least two years of experience with ERP systemsPhysically able to stand and move regularly, up to 8 hours a dayValid driver's licensePreferred qualificationsHighly organized and detail-oriented, able to multitask and shift priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication at all organizational levels, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to distill large data sets into actionable information; strong interpersonal and customer-service skillsBackground in sales training and experience with process control instruments (level, flow, pressure, temperature, liquid & gas analysis, system components, valves, and controls)The Kendall Group is an equal opportunity employer.
