Quality Control Lab Technician

QUALITY CONTROL LAB TECHNICIANC.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is a growing road construction company. We are seeking to fill a Certified Asphalt Quality Control Lab Technician for our local operations.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Understands test methods and proceduresResponsible for the testing and inspection of road construction materials, paving techniques, and equipment being used, including but not limited to Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) and Granular Base Course (GBC)Analysis of test dataCorrective action to prevent non-conforming productsDocumentation and data controlEnsures manufactured asphalt meets DOT, customer, and job specificationsAssists in mix design development and changes in plant productionPerforms data collection and reportingComplies with all safety requirementsOther duties as assignedRequirements:Minimum of 3-6 months of experience in asphalt production or quality control strongly preferredKnowledge of industry standards and testing procedures for asphalt products preferredMust be able to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to changing prioritiesCTQP Plant Level 1 and 2 certifications required after 90 daysHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMust be able to work days, nights (including 3rd shift), and weekends as neededAble to complete all required paperwork efficientlyMust be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver's licenseEmployer conducts drug screening and background checkWe offer competitive salaries and fringe benefits.EOE/AA, DFWP, We Honor Those Who Have Served.Position open until filled.Thank you for your interest in opportunities with CWR!
