Lead Carpenter
Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Lead to spearhead our construction and restoration projects. This pivotal role involves overseeing skilled trades, coordinating project workflows, and ensuring high-quality craftsmanship across a variety of building, renovation, and repair initiatives. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise construction crews, including carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope.
Oversee all phases of construction projects such as framing, roofing, siding, drywall installation, flooring, tile laying, and fixture installation.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans.
Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure materials like concrete forms, rebar, metal studs, and water damage restoration supplies are delivered on schedule.
Conduct site inspections to enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA standards while performing heavy lifting and working with power tools or hand tools.
Manage project documentation including estimates, change orders, progress reports, and quality control records.
Provide mentorship to team members in specialized skills such as plastering, caulking, stucco application, mold remediation, or cabinetry installation.
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction estimating and hands-on carpentry including trim carpentry, framing, metal stud framing, and woodworking.
Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings related to construction projects.
Skilled in the use of power tools such as saws, drills, nail guns along with hand tools required for detailed craftsmanship.
Extensive construction site experience across various industries including restoration industry work like water damage remediation or mold removal.
Familiarity with fabrication processes for custom fixtures or structural components using CNC machinery or manual techniques.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during masonry work or tile laying.
Knowledge of electrical experience for fixture installation or basic wiring tasks; also includes plumbing or masonry skills as needed.
