Position: Mainframe Application DeveloperLocation: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid – Onsite/Remote Flexibility)Type: Full-Time(US Citizens only)About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Mainframe Application Developer to support a mission-critical enterprise system handling large-scale financial and transactional processing. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing legacy systems in a COBOL-based IBM mainframe environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze requirements, system change requests, and user needsDevelop and maintain COBOL programs in CICS (online) and batch environmentsPerform unit testing and ensure high-quality code deliveryConduct code reviews, walkthroughs, and implementation supportTroubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely mannerParticipate in Agile development and SDLC activitiesPrepare impact analysis and Level of Effort (LOE) estimatesMaintain system documentation and adhere to coding standardsRequired Skills & Experience3–7+ years of experience in mainframe developmentStrong hands-on experience with:COBOLCICSJCLSQLExperience working in IBM z/OS environmentsStrong problem-solving and debugging skillsExperience supporting production systemsPreferred QualificationsExperience with financial or payroll systemsFamiliarity with DB2, VSAM, or IDMSExposure to Agile methodologiesRequirementsU.S. Citizenship requiredAbility to obtain a federal background clearanceWhy Join UsOpportunity to work on high-impact, large-scale systemsStable, long-term engagementCollaborative team environment with flexible work options
