This role is responsible for developing architectural frameworks, data models, and integration strategies that align with Federal DoD standards.Key Responsibilities:  Architectural Design & IntegrationDevelop and deliver an Architectural Design and Integration Plan with Configuration Requirements demonstrating compliance with enterprise reporting needs in a GovCloud environmentMust have the ability to design and implement data access controls based on user roles and permissionsDefine a conceptual deployment framework for reporting tools within the GovCloud architectureCollaborate with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) to ensure alignment with enterprise integration requirementsProduce logical and physical architecture diagrams illustrating system components, interactions, infrastructure, and deployment strategiesEnsure alignment with DevSecOps best practices across Development, Staging, and Production environmentsCommunicate environment configuration requirements to Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to ensure consistency across environmentsDocument installation, configuration processes, and lessons learned for all tools and supporting technologiesEnterprise Tool Alignment & ComplianceEvaluate and incorporate platform tools where applicableJustify and document any proposed deviations, including obtaining required Government approvalsEnsure interoperability and integration across enterprise analytics platformsData Discovery & Current State AnalysisLead data discovery sessions with stakeholders to identify:Databases, schemas, tables, columns, and data objectsData sources and reporting dependenciesCoordinate with stakeholders and report owners to validate data sources and structuresAnalyze data relationships, dependencies, and flows across systemsDocument detailed metadata including field names, data types, constraints, and relationshipsDevelop and deliver a Current State Physical Data Model with stakeholder validationData Modeling & Future State DesignAbility to design and implement data access controls based on user roles and permissions."Design and deliver Future State Logical and Physical Data Models aligned with reporting modernization goalsDefine optimized data structures, relationships, and data flows to support enterprise reportingFacilitate stakeholder validation sessions to ensure alignment with customer objectives for:AccuracyAccessibilityScalabilityIncorporate feedback and finalize models as authoritative artifacts supporting migration and consolidation effortsDocumentation & DeliverablesProduce comprehensive, structured documentation including:Architectural Design and Integration PlanLogical and Physical Architecture DiagramsCurrent State Data Model DocumentationFuture State Data Models (Logical & Physical)Environment Configuration Requirements (Dev, Staging, Prod)Installation and Configuration GuidesEnsure all deliverables meet client documentation standards and are accessible for future use RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field8+ years of experience in data architecture, enterprise data modeling, or analytics platformsDemonstrated experience designing solutions in cloud environments (AWS/Google GovCloud preferred)Strong expertise in:Data modeling (logical & physical)Data warehousing and reporting architecturesETL/ELT processes and data pipelinesExperience with one or more of the following:Qlik, SAS Viya, SAP BusinessObjectsCloudera ecosystemStreamlit, D3, UI5Experience supporting DevSecOps pipelines and environment promotion strategiesStrong documentation and diagramming skills (e.g., UML, ER diagrams)Preferred QualificationsExperience working with federal government or DoD environments, particularly DLAFamiliarity with data governance, security, and compliance requirements in GovCloudExperience supporting large-scale reporting modernization or consolidation effortsKnowledge of data cataloging and metadata management toolsMust be a US Citizen and with the ability to obtain a Defense Secret ClearanceActive Clearance is preferredBenefitsHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Short Term & Long Term DisabilityTraining & DevelopmentWork From HomeFree Food & Snacks
