Whether your heart lies in aiding children with language acquisition, supporting adults with neurogenic communication challenges, or guiding older adults through cognitive rehabilitation, this setting promises fulfilling and flexible opportunities.DescriptionConduct thorough evaluations for a broad spectrum of patients from pediatric to geriatric cases using standardized assessment protocols and observational methods.Create individualized treatment strategies tailored to both short- and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, communication, fluency, voice production, and swallowing.Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to design a unified care approach.Provide educational resources to patients and their families to enhance their progress beyond the therapy room.Engage in occasional inpatient assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.Document patient progress meticulously in compliance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.Keep abreast of developments in the field by participating in continuing education and collaborating with peers.EducationMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certified. CertificationsCurrent state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
