Orthodontic Dental AssistantJob Description Role Overview We are looking for a full-time qualified Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our traveling Ortho team! The right applicant will have experience preparing ortho patients, ensuring that they are comfortable and offering another set of hands for procedures. Assistants must help Orthodontist to clearly see problems and changes within a patient's mouth. This often requires taking x-rays of the bone structure of a patient's jaw, as well as taking photographs of the teeth.ResponsibilitiesHelp Orthodontist prepare for procedures by having the necessary tools sterilized and in placeHelp keep a patient's mouth clean and dry during procedures and hand the Orthodontist the necessary tools at the appropriate timePatient education; explain procedures and discuss treatment progress and plansThis position will include all aspects of clinical dental careRequirementsMust be willing to travel between offices (mileage reimbursement)Previous ortho chairside assisting is preferredPositive attitude and enthusiasm for the workdayExcellent customer service skills with an outgoing, people friendly personalityThe ideal applicant will display and demonstrate excellent communication skills with staff and patientsDesire to learn new skills and expand your potentialCoronal polishing/sealant, and/or nitrous certifiedCompensation Package and BenefitsCompensation will be comprised of a base salary that is commensurate with experienceFull Medical Insurance with BCBS, employer pays on average 66% of premium!Dental/VisionShort Term and Long Term DisabilityLife Insurance401(k) with matchingFlexible Spending accountand more!Job Types: Full-time - 40 hour work week with potential for overtime!
