Purchasing and Inventory Manager

The Gruber Companies are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing and Inventory Manager to lead our procurement and inventory operations.In this vital role, you will oversee the sourcing of materials, manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and ensure optimal inventory levels to support manufacturing and supply chain efficiency.Your expertise will drive cost-effective purchasing strategies, centralize procurement processes, and enhance overall supply chain performance.Duties:Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.Manage end-to-end purchasing activities.Oversee inventory management processes, including inventory control, forecasting, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and stock optimization to prevent shortages or excess.Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing, delivery terms, and service levels while maintaining strong vendor relationships.Coordinate logistics and supply chain activities to ensure efficient movement of materials from suppliers to manufacturing or distribution centers.Monitor supplier performance through regular evaluations, addressing issues proactively to maintain high standards of quality and reliability.Collaborate with manufacturing teams to align procurement activities with production schedules and demand forecasts.Maintain comprehensive procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation in compliance with company policies.Requirements:Proven experience in procurement management, sourcing, and supply chain operations within a manufacturing or distribution environment.Strong proficiency with ERP systems for procurement, inventory management, and MRP functions.Deep understanding of procurement processes including contract negotiation, vendor management, pricing strategies, and logistics coordination.Knowledge of inventory control techniques, supply chain management principles, and contract management best practices.Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build mutually beneficial supplier relationships.Ability to analyze data effectively for forecasting, demand planning, and cost optimization.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities simultaneously.Proven experience developing and leading teams.Join us as a Purchasing and Inventory Manager to develop and mentor our purchasing and warehouse teams.Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insuranceVision insuranceWork Location: In person
