Quality Control Technician

QC Technician is responsible for overseeing all incoming raw materials, in process food safety checks, finished good inspections, HACCP line audits, record keeping for external testing, sanitation and document control. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing food safety challenges. Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process and tests products for variety of qualities such as physical and organoleptic, or chemical characteristics. Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures. Evaluates data and reports any deviations from existing standards to supervisor. Prepare samples for customer evaluations. Assist sales representatives with Sample order requests. Perform HACCP line audits daily and verifies and validates the information of the forms. Approves blends and finished goods. Qualifications Must be detail oriented. Good Leadership skills. Ability to solve practical problems. Effective organizational skills. Computer experience a plus. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or equivalent and/or related experience. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Mathematical Skills Have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Have ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
