Litigation Paralegal – Civil Litigation (Construction Defect)Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid)About the RoleA progressive and innovative national defense firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support its Civil Litigation Practice Group in the Orlando office. The firm offers a collaborative work environment, flexible work-from-home policy, and a supportive culture across all offices.The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of litigation experience in general liability and construction defect matters, along with trial experience. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.This is a hybrid position; candidates must reside in the greater Orlando area.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist attorneys with all aspects of case management and pre-trial preparationSummarize medical, employment, and deposition recordsHandle discovery work-up and document managementProcess and follow up on subpoenas for medical, employment, tax, educational, disability, workers' compensation, and union recordsCommunicate with experts and prepare materials for expert witness reviewPrepare trial exhibits, witness materials, and pre-trial documentsOrganize and maintain chronologies of key case documentsReview, analyze, and organize document productions from opposing parties and co-defendantsRedact claim files, medical records, police reports, emails, and other sensitive documentsPrepare records and exhibits for trialMaintain compliance with trust guidelines and internal proceduresRequirementsMinimum 5 years of litigation paralegal experienceExperience in general liability and construction defect litigation preferredTrial preparation and trial support experience requiredFamiliarity with trust guidelines and complianceExperience with bank reconciliationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks independentlyStrong critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesProfessional and pleasant demeanorHigh level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and ExcelExperience with iManage, e-Copy, and PDF conversion tools preferredReliable attendance and ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PMBenefitsCompetitive salary package with bonus potentialMedical, dental, vision, disability, and life insuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)401(k) retirement planPTO, paid sick time, and paid holidaysFlexible work-from-home policyEmployee referral program
