GTAW / GMAW Welder Supervisor

We are in search of welding line supervisors to join our team. A welding line supervisor is responsible for ensuring safety, productivity, cleanliness and maintenance in their line and surrounding areas at all times. The line supervisor will communicate and plan with the production manager regarding upcoming orders, time and resource requirements in orders to ensure deliveries are met. This is a night shift position, our night shift runs from 4pm to 12:45 Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required on Saturdays depending on customer demand. Expereince : Welding, both GTAW and GMAW for carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium. 2 Supervisory experience, we are looking for leaders who can motivate and lead a team through high pressure fast paced situations Extreme ownership, we are looking for individuals who own their domain, no excuses, take control and finish the job while also assisting and coaching others to do the same. Ability to manage change, we are a job shop with changing requirements every day, we are looking for supervisors who can adapt and overcome. Lean manufacturing experience, our supervisors are expected to participate in and enforce 5S principles along with other lean manufacturing philosophies. Responsibilities: Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times Ensure employee and line productivity through constant communication, time tracking and motivation. Ensure equipment is properly maintained. Ensure company policy is followed by direct reports and others in the immediate work area Motivate the team and ensure a fast paced, fun and collaborative work environment. Quickly solve problems as they occur to keep the line producing. Make sure accidents and rework are properly investigated and documented. Monitor and document employee performance or lack thereof.
