Participate in team discussions and project meetings to observe how drainage design integrates with roadway, environmental and safety considerations. Review project documentation and calculations under guidance, develop an understanding of proper documentation, modeling assumptions and regulatory requirements. Gain hands-on experience reviewing and interpreting ORD drainage models and outputs, building proficiency in the software and understanding its role in design validation. Support updates to branch checklists, procedures, and standard practices while gaining hands-on experience with KYTC’s quality and safety standards.Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience InBasic hydrology and hydraulics principles, including stormwater and drainage design Using drainage design and modeling software such as OpenRoads Designer (ORD), HY-8, or HEC-RAS Reviewing engineering plans, calculations, and reports for accuracy and compliance Quality assurance and quality control processes in an engineering setting Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support project deliveryBenefits & Perks:Comprehensive health with optional dental and vision insurance.
