Mammography Tech Location: Craig, CO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,569 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/25/2026 About the Position Job Title: Mammography Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Mammographer Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2 Years License: ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M) Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire or transfer) Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Two years prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist, CT, and MRI technologist. Description: The Mammography Technologist is responsible for the quality and efficient completion of radiologic procedures for diagnostic interpretation. They are responsible for providing patient education, quality patient care, and meeting all regulatory compliance. Responsible for the daily operation of the women's health section of radiology. Responsible for suggesting changes in procedures, policies, and quality improvement. Coordinates training and development in breast imaging specialties. Adheres to all FDA guidelines for the mammography section. Maintains appropriate records for all accreditation processes and inspections. Maintains a structured reporting system to ensure accurate audit reporting, statistical tracking, and resolution of workflow issues. Ensures completion of daily quality assurance and preventative maintenance scheduling. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Mammography imaging procedures. Performs all exams based on Imaging Department Protocols or protocols the exam with the Radiologist. Practices radiation safety, adhering to ALARA standards. Ability to operate equipment consistently with the manufacturer’s recommendations. Troubleshoots equipment problems and independently calls a service engineer if necessary. Verifies exam orders, identifies the patient through two means of identification, and provides exam education. Reviews and documents the patient’s medical history, obtains required informed consent, and ensures all necessary paperwork and prior studies are complete. Maintains accurate patient records in electronic health records, including charging procedures and supplies. May be required to perform other functions within the clinic. Demonstrates flexibility by assisting in other modalities, adjusting schedules, and taking calls or holiday shifts as needed. Obtains additional training or certification as required. Assists with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when required. Assists, trains, or cross-trains imaging staff members as directed. Must be self-motivated, use independent judgment, and work with minimum supervision. Responsible for ordering, stocking, and maintaining supply inventory. Maintains strict patient confidentiality at all times. Reports to work punctually and completes assigned duties within established timeframes. Actively contributes to departmental and organization-wide performance improvement and continuous quality initiatives. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements. Maintains adherence to safety and risk management procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Exhibits initiative and self-motivation. Maintains a consistent level of productivity and manages time and responsibilities effectively. Completes all required annual education and training updates and participates in departmental and organizational meetings as required.
