Principal Software Engineer

<Note: If you applied to similar position earlier for different job here, please don't re-apply, we will be looking internally if you are still suitable for this position and reach out to you, This position specifically at Principal level (experience 8-10 yrs minimum)>We need someone who has lived in production — not just visited. You've been paged at 2am, traced a memory leak through 10 layers of abstraction, and shipped a hotfix under pressure without breaking something else. You understand the difference between code that looks good in a PR and code that survives a Monday morning traffic spike. This isn't a research role. It's not a greenfield prototype role. It's a principal-level engineering role where you will own critical backend systems, ship production AI features, and be accountable when things break — because they will. What You'll Actually DoOwn and maintain production Python services — not just write them. You're responsible when they go down and responsible for making sure they don't.Diagnose live production issues using real tools: distributed tracing, log analytics, profilers, Azure Monitor, Application Insights — not just reading stack traces.Design and operate Azure-native backend infrastructure: Functions, Durable Functions, Event Grid, Service Bus, and the surrounding deployment pipeline.Build AI features that don't just work in a notebook — RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and LLM orchestration (LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel) that are production-hardened, observable, and recoverable.Set the engineering bar: code review, CI/CD discipline, testing strategy, and incident post-mortems that actually prevent recurrence.Work with secondary stacks (C#) when needed. You don't need to love them — you need to be functional and honest about the gaps. What We're Looking ForNon-negotiable:8–10+ years of professional backend or full-stack engineering, with a significant portion spent maintaining systems you also built.Python is your primary language. You know where it gets slow, where it gets unpredictable, and how to fix both.Real Azure production experience — not sandbox certifications. You've debugged cold start latency, dealt with event ordering issues, and designed for failure modes in distributed systems. You've used monitoring and observability tooling as a regular part of your workflow, not just during incidents. You can explain a previous production outage — root cause, how you diagnosed it, what you changed, and how you validated the fix.Strong Signal:You've shipped LLM or RAG features into a production environment and maintained them past launch — dealing with prompt drift, latency, cost management, and eval degradation. You've worked with high-concurrency data patterns: SQL or NoSQL at scale, queue-backed processing, or stream processing under real load. You've owned a CI/CD pipeline end-to-end — not just merged into one.Integrity & ValidationExperience Verification: All candidates will undergo comprehensive experience validation and background checks.Genuineness over Buzzwords: We appreciate and reward candidates who are honest about what they know and what they don't. We are looking for authentic expertise, not a list of keywords.*No Visa sponsorship available, only candidates with valid work permit should apply.* Final offer amounts are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.Equal Opportunity Statement*InnoveIQ is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
