This role may also include testing, analysis, and auditing of complex products and processes such as microelectronics, optical components, mechanical assemblies, test equipment, and fully integrated systems to ensure compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory quality standards. Essential Functions:Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of precision mechanical and electrical components to verify conformance to specifications and engineering drawingsMeasure critical dimensions using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision instrumentsInterpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions to validate inspection criteriaAccurately document inspection results and complete required final inspection reportsSupport Continuous Improvement initiatives to strengthen the quality management systemConduct audits of products and processes and record inspection findings as well as perform quality audit functions across manufacturing operations.Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to communicate quality issues and support root cause investigations and corrective actionsAssist in developing and refining inspection procedures and protocolsEnsure compliance with safety standards, ensure an organized, clean work area, and maintain company quality inspection plans and proceduresMaintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration requirements are metAbility to obtain US Government security clearanceQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; Or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experiencePreferred Additional Skills:Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform precise, accurate inspectionsProficiency with mechanical and/or electrical inspection tools and equipmentAbility to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specificationsEffective communication skills including clear documentation and reporting along with strong technical writing and presentation skillsExperience working in cleanroom or controlled environmentsFamiliarity with SPC methodologies and other quality improvement toolsKnowledge of NASA standards, IPC certifications, and GD&T principlesIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $49,500-$91,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
