We're hiring a Team MLO who will support our loan origination staff in the qualification of clients for mortgage loans. The ideal candidate has a background in either a Loan Officer Assistant or a Mortgage Loan Processor role. Participation in a monthly rotating on-call weekend support schedule 1-2x/month is required for this position.ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with clients via email to obtain the documentation necessary to determine prequalification status.Determine client qualifications and make recommendations for loan structuring based on client’s goals for their home loan.Assemble and review the loan documentation required for processing such as 1003s, W2s, tax returns, bank statements, credit reports, VOEs, etc.Verify all loan package documentation received is accurate and complete in accordance with company policy and procedures and report any discrepancies to the loan originator.Pull credit, prepare income calculations, and run AUS (DU/LP).Protect the client’s earnest money by accurately prequalifying the loan.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.1+ years of experience working in a remote setting.1+ years of experience working in a Loan Officer Assistant, Loan Processor, or similar role.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent grasp of agency and loan program guidelines for CONV, FHA, VA, and jumbo loans.Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.Intermediate proficiency with Encompass.Experience working for a high-volume team with a focus on both new build and retail transactions.A designated work-from-home space free from interruption.Must work a schedule of 8am-5pm MST, M-F.Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call weekend shift 1-2x/month.Licensure with the NMLS. If not currently licensed, must be willing to obtain NMLS licensure within 6 months of being hired. Company will reimburse for initial licensing fees if not currently licensed.
