Corporate Engineer (Capital Equipment)

Our client is seeking a Corporate Engineer to support capital projects, equipment design, process improvements, and safety-related upgrades across multiple industrial facilities.This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys both office-based design work and time in plant environments. You will help develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and detailed designs for mechanical and process equipment used in industrial production facilities.ResponsibilitiesDevelop project scope, budgets, and installation schedulesSize, select, and design industrial process equipment and mechanical systemsCreate P&IDs, PFDs, heat and mass balances, equipment lists, piping lists, motor lists, and tie-in listsWork with internal controls, automation, electrical, CAD, and mechanical installation teamsCoordinate with vendors and internal resources on equipment sizing and designSupport installation activities and document field changes for project closeoutProvide technical solutions when process or installation challenges ariseQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferredExperience with industrial process equipment, plant engineering, or capital projectsAbility to work effectively with engineering, controls, electrical, CAD, and installation teamsStrong communication, organization, and time management skillsAutoCAD knowledge is helpfulRendering process or equipment installation experience is a plusWillingness to travel overnight to plant locations, approximately 20% to 30%Why This Role?This is a great opportunity for an engineer who wants to be involved in projects from concept through installation.
