Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile X-ray Technician to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in various healthcare settings, including urgent care, emergency rooms, and trauma centers. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of medical imaging modalities such as X-ray, CT, PET scans, Mammography, DEXA scans, and sonography. This role requires a professional with strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to support accurate diagnostic evaluations. The Mobile X-ray Tech will play a vital role in delivering timely imaging services in fast-paced environments, ensuring patient safety and comfort while adhering to strict aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-ray, CT, PET scans, Mammography, DEXA scans, and sonography across various healthcare settings.
Operate advanced imaging equipment following established protocols and safety standards.
Ensure proper patient positioning for optimal image quality while maintaining patient comfort.
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures performed and images captured for medical records.
Adhere to aseptic techniques and radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to facilitate diagnostic evaluation and ensure timely results.
Assist in the preparation of patients for imaging procedures, including explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns.
Keep equipment clean, calibrated, and maintained according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques through ongoing education.
Qualifications
Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent licensure required.
Proven experience in diagnostic radiology within emergency room settings or Level I/II trauma centers preferred.
Knowledge of nuclear medicine, ultrasound (sonography), mammography, DEXA scans, and other advanced imaging modalities is highly desirable.
Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
Experience working in urgent care or emergency medicine environments is a plus.
Ability to operate complex imaging equipment safely and efficiently under pressure.
Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills to coordinate with healthcare professionals and patients.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
